Saturday Night Fever!

The wonders of snow... The remarkable and beautiful white stuff brought much disruption to our classes with many people not being able to get out of the drive let alone attend their Pilates lesson. For those that did brave it and made it in we practice walking in the snow within the comforts and warmth of the studio. How? By imagining to walk like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever!! He has a bounce in his step allowing the major joints of ankles knees and hips to remain soft and reactive whilst walking on something as unstable and unpredictable as snow and ice. Pilates doesn't have to be serious!!

Today there was much excitement in the studio. We had a photograph session for my website. I invited a handful of seasoned clients to help me. A couple were using the specialised Pilates equipment, demonstrating control, mobility and balance on the Reformer, Cadillac and Combo Chair. There were mat exercises too, showing some of the smaller equipment available like over balls and Pilates circles. It was a great session and every one was perfect with their technique and even had a smile for the camera. As a thank you they stayed for a complimentary lesson and before we new it, it was time for coffee. A big thank you to every one for giving up their valuable time.

Thursday 2nd December...........unfortunately the studio will be closed due to the snow. This decision has been made with everybody's safety in mind. Hopefully life will resume to normal over the weekend as predicted. Keep safe and warm. Lea
